This was a joint commission between EFDSS and trac (the Welsh Folk Development Agency), and a project I co-project managed with Angharad Jenkins of trac.

In late April 2015, the artists spent time in the archives of Cecil Sharp House, the National Library of Wales (Aberystwyth) and St. Fagan's museum (Cardiff), where they were looking for tunes and songs that had a shared history between the two countries.

They scoured letters, notebooks, newspapers and manuscripts held in the archives, and after three days research the artists' headed to a 3-day writing and rehearsal residential at Tŷ Newydd (the former home of David Lloyd George).

This was immediately followed by 3 shows

Aberystwyth, Arts Centre
Cardiff, Millenium Centre
London, Cecil Sharp House

The artists were interviewed and performed for a feature on BBC Radio 4's Front Row, and also filmed for a piece on ITV Wales' news.

There were offers of further shows and a studio album was *almost* recorded in 2016, but due to prior commitments of the artists diaries were impossible to co-ordinate.
